About Chiswick Playhouse
The Chiswick Playhouse is a commercial 81 seat fringe venue based above the Tabard Pub in Chiswick. The theatre produces its own in-house productions and works with other producers to bring West End quality shows to West London, and at a fraction of the ticket price! We produce new work as well as reimagining classic stories. The theatre is a breeding ground for productions that want to move on to a future life.
About the role
The theatre manager will work alongside the theatre management team to offer a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, freelance/contract staff, hirers and staff. The role also includes ensuring a high standard of customer service is offered to all who pass through the theatre doors. Your working hours will include evenings and weekends offering core duty management to the venue.
The successful candidate will be an efficient and capable presence with experience of professional theatre. Your experience might not be exclusively in theatre management, you may have worked as an usher/front of house assistant or as a Duty Manager. What matters is that you are a team player, and that no job is too small or too big for you. You’ll be calm and good-humoured under pressure, a creative thinker, and have a passion for people.
