Envisaged by Faction Theatre Company

‘The company’s constant inventiveness coupled with some detailed character work extending right across the cast really hold the focus… framed in a highly physical style…neat moments of illusion… the strength of the ensemble…this is a production worth travelling for.’
– Evening Standard, Entertainment London

theFaction transfer to the Tabard Theatre for one week only to present Shakespeare’s bloody and supernatural thriller with an all-male ensemble. With their trademark visual inventiveness, clarity of storytelling, theatrical flair, and a cast of 15 theFaction’s Macbeth will surprise and delight seasoned theatregoers and enthral new audiences.

For Macbeth they have drawn inspiration from Japanese Kabuki techniques and will create moving staircases, walls and corridors that reflect a world of tangible evil spirits and the distorted reality that poisons Macbeth’s mind.

‘Excellent production of Shakespeare’s gruesome classic…the all-male cast are largely superb… the sheer presence of the ensemble… the company manage to expertly tread the line between past and present day theatre and, in doing so, remind you what an arresting play this is.’
