The play is truly comedy at its best.

For a show written by a Canadian and popular around the world, this production of Sexy Laundry displays a quintessentially feel-good Britishness with just a hint of sauce.

‘… a laugh out loud sitcom type play, with some food for thought – this is a must-see production’
London Pub Theatres
For those debating buying a ticket, I would advise booking straight away for nearly 80 minutes of laughter.
Chiswick Herald
the laughter was as much out of recognition for the predicament of this middle-aged ‘every-couple’ as demonstrating an appetite for end of the pier style bawdiness.

The Tabard Theatre presents the UK Premiere of Sexy Laundry, the hit show about an ordinary couple with a less-than-ordinary overnight bag!
Checking into a trendy spa hotel, Alice and Henry are on a mission; to jump start their twenty five year marriage. Time has taken its toll – so have kids, stress and gravity. Hoping to rekindle their flagging sex life, Alice and Henry stumble through their fantasies, finding that flaming the fires of passion is not as simple as making a hotel reservation. Can they embrace all the wild suggestions from their marriage-saving quick start guide?
What develops is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy as the couple discover themselves and their marriage all over again.
Sexy Laundry by Michele Riml was first seen in 2002 in Vancouver and has gone on to be a smash hit show with multiple runs in the US, Canada and across Europe. The show stars Felicity Duncan (Rosie in Mamma Mia! International tour, Anyone Can Whistle and Lear, Union Theatre) and Nick Raggett (his many TV series include Pie in the Sky, The Sins, Missing, The Fear). This production marks its UK Premiere and is directed by Phoebe Barran who also directed Tryst at the Tabard Theatre last year.
