The Little Dressmaker

by Linnie Reeman
A Chekhovian tale of obsession and Celebrity.
Olga is obsessed with celebrity, her husband with medical science, her lover with himself, while her dressmaker weaves them all into the fabric of her own dark fairy tale.
Inspired by Chekhov’s letters and stories, and the imagined events leading up to his short story “The Grasshopper”. Using this story as a basis, weaving fact with fiction, The Little Dressmaker brings Chekhov’s own bohemian society to life with vivid brushstrokes, passion, tragedy and soul-stirring live music.
